Also, if an inmate suddenly punches you, fight back, whatever the odds are. If you wish to survive prison you need to be willing to defend yourself. If you allow yourself to be beaten up, the guys will find joy in beating you and it will be done on a regular basis.
Also, just mind your personal business. Do not butt in to other people’s affairs.

Of course, avoid the use of illegal drugs. The consequences of using drugs are bad and it will not do you any good creating such a habit in jail.
