Miami, FL — A lawsuit has been filed by the family of a cyclist killed in a hit-and-run wreck on the Rickenbacker Causeway against the driver who drove the car involved.  The accident occurred on Wednesday at 5:45 a.m. as Aaron Cohen, 36, and Edna Walsh, 38, were out for a morning bicycle ride.  The two cyclists were riding side-by-side in the bike lane when they were hit by a Honda Civic being driven by Michele Traverso, 25, of Key Biscayne. Japanese Diplomat Charged With 16 Counts Of Domestic Violence

San Bruno, CA –A Japanese diplomat has pleaded not guilty to 16 counts of domestic violence on Monday.  Yoshiaki Nagaya, 32 is Japan’s vice consul general in San Francisco and has worked as a liaison there for almost two years.  He was arrested in March when his wife, Yuka Nagaya, said he threw her from a slow-moving car during an argument.  He is also accused of stabbing his wife in the hand with a screwdriver and hitting her in the mouth and knocking out her teeth. Twelve-Year-Old Boy Crushed To Death By Electric Gate

New York City –A 12-year-old boy was crushed by an electric gate at an apartment complex on Sunday.  Yakim McDaniels and other children were trying to see who could hang onto the gate the longest before jumping off.  The child’s hand was caught in the gate and his upper body was crushed against the frame. Thefts of iPads and iPhones Up 44% In New York City

New York — The New York police are looking for two thieves who stole an iPhone from an A train rider in Brooklyn last month.  The pair were caught on surveillance video when they left the train station at Utica Ave.  The incident occurred on April 5 at about 10:30 p.m.  The 22-year-old victim gave the two his iPhone when they threatened to harm him physically. Dallas, TX –A transgender woman was cited for disorderly conduct for using a women’s restroom at Parkland Hospital.  Paula Witherspoon, 56, entered the bathroom, used a stall, washed her hands and left.  She was possibly the only person in the bathroom at the time.  The complaint was made by a woman sitting in a waiting room outside the bathroom.
